Eva Cassini is a painter who uses art as a way to express her gratitude for our magnificent world.
Love of life is my recurring theme, which expresses itself through vibrant colour, the play of light and spontaneity. Living here in the south-west is pure magic, and with colour and a brush, I endeavour to get myself out the way and allow that beauty to tumble out onto canvas. Whether it is a luminous beachscape, still life or floral painting, I use acrylics for flexibility and vitality but often incorporate fluid mediums and soft pastels for gestural marks. With a BA in Design, I worked for many years in the graphic arts, but returned to painting after moving to Dunsborough. Painting for me is a way to bring more beauty into the world and to express the joy and gratitude I have for this magnificent place we call home. Eva will be participating in the 2021 Margaret River Region Open Studios.
