Leading WA Choir Voyces takes the audience through traditions from the ages
Our second concert of the year draws influence from traditional music. Around the world, traditional music has long formed part of the way people communicate with each other and we are looking forward to exploring this as we delve into choral music based on traditional songs, stories and customs from around the world.
Conducted by Stefan Pugliese, Trad will feature a world premiere by Clare Maclean, commissioned by Musica Viva supported by the newly formed WA Commissioning Circle and a work by WA composer, Joshua Adams. Looking at pieces from Ireland through to Norway, the program forTrad will include:

Where is the venue?
Government House Ballroom is situated on the western side of the Governors residence at 13 St George's Terrace, Perth. Parking and entry to the venue is via the driveway between the Governors residence and the City of Perth council offices.
Can I pick my seat?
No, as Seating for Trad is unreserved. Patrons will be able to access the seating from 2:30pm but will not have access prior to 2:30pm.
Do I need a cushion?
We don't think so, as the seats at the Ballroom are cushioned and quite comfortable, but you are welcome to if you wish.
Will there be an interval?
Not a lengthy one, but there will be a short break that will give you a bit of time to stand, stretch and have a quick chat.
