'Kayak' spans five distinct tracks sketching the six-piece’s ambition and blend of inspiration from neo-soul, jazz, alt-funk, and hip hop. Powerful yet delicate melodies, smooth rhythmic grooves, and colourful harmonies fuse together to craft the unique sound the band has created since forming in early 2018. ‘Kayak’ was written collaboratively as a band over the last year as the group has grown together and honed in on their stylistic ideas. Fellow Perth artist and good friend Max Black joined up with the band again on production duties, creating the distinctive sonic palette captured in the project.
