The Australian Short Story Festival returns to Perth over the weekend of October 19-21 with a plethora of storytellers and dynamic events to celebrate the short form.

The third annual Australian Short Story Festival will be happening in Perth over the weekend of Friday 19th to Sunday 21st. This year the Festival will be held at the Centre for Stories in Northbridge, Alex Hotel, Gallery Central (North Metropolitan TAFE), and City of Perth Library. Over 30 local, national and international authors and storytellers will appear over the weekend, offering workshops, panel sessions, and readings.

Award winning and internationally acclaimed writer David Malouf will deliver the Opening Address. Included in the program are some of Australia’s most exciting short story writers – Roanna Gonsalves, Jennifer Down, Laura Elvery, Anthony Macris, M.J. Reidy, Rafeif Ismail, Elizabeth Tan, H.C. Gildfind, Yvonne Fein, Julia Prendergast and Luke Johnson. At the end of the festival, award-winning writer Maria Takolander will deliver the Closing Address.
