Avon a Go Fun Run (expired event)

Walk or Run to raise money for your favourite Charity

The ‘Avon A Go’ Community Fun Run resulted from a desire by the Rotary Club of Northam to host an annual community event in Northam.

The Northam Clontarf Academy was also looking for a worthwhile community project to involve their students.

Collaborations between these two groups was the impetus for the ‘Avon A Go’ Community Fun Run.

Rotary Volunteers will be working with Clontarf staff and students to plan and implement the event.

The desired outcome is to see families, school groups, adults and children of all ages, abled bodied and disabled participate in the event.

The 2km run can also be a ‘walk’ – with walkers, wheelchairs and prams walking behind the main body of runners.

Participants are invited to fundraise for any cause of their choice. e.g. a school group can invite sponsorship from parents and friends to fund the school canteen or school camp.

Individuals can seek sponsorship from family and friends to raise funds for cancer research or an overseas project etc. Fundraising to support any lawful activity is encouraged.
