Description

The WAAPA Symphony Orchestra celebrates the music of Mendelssohn alongside Mozart’s exquisite Violin Concerto No 5, performed by Paul Wright, WAAPA’s extraordinary Head of Strings.

"This is Italy! And now has begun what I have always thought to be the supreme joy in life. And I am loving it." The life and colour of Italy enchanted the young Felix Mendelssohn during his Grand Tour of Europe from 1829-1831. In Rome, he set to work on what would become the sun-filled and overflowingly joyful ‘Italian' Symphony. It’s some of the most dynamic and beautiful music of all time. Music Director: Paul Wright Performed by: WAAPA Symphony Orchestra with Paul Wright (violin)
