November Nostalgia at ANZAC Cottage (expired event)

A delightful event that celebrates our seniors and the life they lived.

The Friends of ANZAC Cottage acknowledge Senior’s Week with November Nostalgia at ANZAC Cottage which involves an afternoon for seniors, their families, friends, neighbours and carers on Saturday, November 16 from 1pm to 4pm. Attendees will indulge themselves in a feast of memories and nostalgia including displays of old fashioned kitchen implements and grandad’s tools, images of old buildings,  locations and landmark events around Perth, a pictorial display of ‘old’ products plus old fashioned games with background music from the 1930s,40s and 50s.   This will be topped off with an afternoon tea of old favourites that are not often seen today.

This free event will be held in ANZAC Cottage, an iconic 103 year old building that has been renovated to its original condition.  Built by the community in one day in February 1916, ANZAC Cottage is located at 38 Kalgoorlie Street, Mt Hawthorn.
