Mary Jane Malet & Garry Zeck (expired event)

Events Mar 15 - 31 (closed Thursday and Friday before Easter)

53 Glyde Street, Mosman Park, WA

Description

A Collection of ceramics with a West Australian theme by Garry Zeck and Paintings by Mary-Jane Malet which include local West Australian River Scenes, Provence and Tuscany.

Garry Zeck commenced his artistic career with his first exhibition in 1967. Since then he has exhibited on a regular basis, winning a number of awards along the way. Zeck's work is immediately recognisable and extremely engaging.  Its is apparent that oriental asthetics have been a major influence on his ceramics, however his inspiration is definately Australian.

Over fifty solo exhibitions and numerous group shows later, Zeck’s work is represented in the State and National Galleries, Shire collections and too many private collections and homes to list.

Mary-Jane Malet's work blends rhythm, tone, colour and texture combined with her subject matter enabling the viewer to capture a glimpse of her artistic vision.

Mary-Jane studied art at the Ruskin School of Art in Oxford and this encouraged the highest standards of professional and creative competence. Her CV includes the list of Public Collections that have collected her work both nationally & internationally.
