Description
Worn Out Worn Art is an annual wearable art project celebrating creativity and sustainability.
Eleven artists and designers explore fabric manipulation techniques, clothing deconstruction and reconstruction, creating sculptural forms using recycled, upcycled and repurposed materials, reconnecting with lost skills and working against consumerism.
The Worn Out Worn Art exhibition presents wearable art creations by artists Andrea Day, Angela Ferolla, Nerida Groom, Charlene O’Brien, Katrina Virgona, Louise Wells, Lyndell Darch, Mary Ann Dawson, Minaxi May, Sarah Zel Chescoe, Susie Vickery and Trish Bygott.
The exhibition complements the annual WOWA Wearable Art Parade held for the first time this year in the historic Midland Junction Arts Centre on Saturday 24 November from 7pm.
Official opening Saturday 24 November 6.30pm - 8pm
