Description

Australia’s premier showcase of prints and artists’ books returns with a selection of works from established, emerging and cross-disciplinary artists from across the nation.

This year the 43rd annual Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award supported by Little Creatures Brewing presents the best of Australian printmaking. In 2018, the award continues to present works that celebrate the traditions of printmaking while simultaneously looking towards the future of the medium.

FAC Print Award Artist Talk: Sliding Spaces
Saturday 15 September, 2:00PM — 4:00PM

Join us at the exhibition opening for the announcement of this year’s winners and to view the finalists’ work.

First Prize
$16,000 and acquisition by the City of Fremantle Art Collection, WA’s largest municipal collection

Second Prize
$6,000

2018 Judging Panel
Lisa Roet: Melbourne-based senior artist and practitioner, previous winner of the non-acquisitive prize at the 2011 FAC Print Award.

Ron Bradfield: Currently residing in Whadjuk Boodja (Perth); Ron Bradfield is a man of the Bardi peoples from the Dampier Peninsula. As Membership and Indigenous Development
Manager with Artsource Ron has worked extensively with visual artists across most of WA.

Annika Kristenson: Senior Curator, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne
