Description
Join us in the Main Gallery for a series of relaxed conversations with four of our talented 2021 Revealed Exhibition artists, while enjoying delicious treats from Noongar Caterers Kuditj Kitchen.
These talks will share fascinating insights into the artists’ practices and the stories behind the making of their artworks. Featuring a wide range of emerging WA Aboriginal artists, we chat with Amanda Bell (Wardandi Country) about her a large-scale blazing pink ‘Moorditj’ neon work, which has quickly become a crowd favourite and social media sensation. Raised and living in Boorloo / Perth, Mandy White will share the inspiration behind her whimsical, lively paintings. Travelling all the way from the Pilbara town of Newman, Ignatius (Hamzah) Taylor from Martumili Artists will talk about his stunning series of photographs, exploring community life in the Western Desert. Also travelling to Fremantle for this special artist talk, Wendy Warrie from the Cheeditha Art Centre in Roebourne will tell us about the new developments in her practice and her gorgeous delicate set of paintings in Revealed.
