Join the Friends of Yellagonga
Do you enjoy walking, cycling or just sitting and admiring the views that are found in Yellagonga Regional Park? Would you like to put something back into an area you enjoy? Maybe you have an interest in gardening and feel that you would like to put your "Green Thumb" to good use on a grander scale than can be attained on the suburban block. Maybe you just enjoy being in the outdoors and fresh air but need an excuse to enjoy yourself outdoors.
Friends of Yellagonga aims to promote and participate in the conservation, rehabilitation and protection of Yellagonga Regional Park to ensure long-term environmental sustainability and compatible human use.
The group was formed in 1993 and they work with the Park manager, The Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC). The Friends seek to involve the local community as much as possible and encourage greater awareness of the significance of the Park and the threats to its conservation.
