Creativity, connection, culture, cooking and kids activities will feature in the bigger, better and totally free Coogee Live, will be held on March 7th and 8th along Coogee Beach.
Coogee Live will be divided into ‘worlds’, each with its own theme and activities; LiveLighter Omeo Hub is inspired by the area’s nautical history where winding pathways lead to little fairy nooks and to boisterous pirates recounting maritime stories and teaching youngsters how to make treasure maps. The Ocean Kitchen Garden is all about food and sustainability, themed to fit with a healthy beachside lifestyle, including local produce and producers, artisan fare, pop up style restaurants, workshops, hands-on cooking classes and sessions with some of WA best chefs. LiveLighter Community Hub embraces creativity and is the ideal place to come together, learn and laugh – think origami participation, Brolga puppet making and cultural performances. The Nova Jetty Sessions is beach fun party central celebrating the best of Coogee’s iconic beach lifestyle featuring live music by the soul funk queen Grace Barbé.
Coogee Live will really bring the area to life with over 80 activations across a 1.5 kilometre event footprint along the beach from North Coogee to Coogee Beach Reserve.
Coogee Live is about bringing the local community together as well as attracting visitors. It is designed to showcase the local area as well as its local artists and artisans, creating a free family-friendly festival for the community.
Coogee Live is totally free.
