Description

The Forrestfield – Airport Link valued at $1.86 billion dollars will unlock the eastern suburbs of Perth, providing desperately needed connectivity that has been a handbrake on the delivery of housing in the eastern suburbs.

With the first trains set to operate on the Airport line in the first half of next year, three new stations will drive residential and commercial development opportunities in this strategic corridor. Last year, Perth Airport released a Master Plan for the airport precinct which outlined $2.5 billion worth of investments over the coming decade. Major projects on the horizon include a new consolidated central terminal, a hotel, multi-storey car parks, expanded international facilities, additional runways, and ground transport facilities. The success of our resources sector is critically reliant on the fly-in fly-out system of employment resourcing, accounting for 55 percent of the resources sector workforce in WA. In addition to FIFO workers living to transport connected airport, the airport itself is a major centre of employment with over 9,000 aviation related full time jobs pre-COVID. With Perth Airport having the status of a Specialised Activity Centre in the State Government's planning framework, there is increasing demand for non-aviation development including warehouses and large-format retail. Join us for breakfast with our keynote speakers and panellists as we explore: - Progress of realising the vision of the Perth Airport in a COVID environment - The anticipated benefits of the Forrestfield-Airport Link to existing and potential residents in the North Eastern Corridor - Opportunities for commercial, industrial and retail development - Incentivising FIFO workers to live, work and play in Perth's East
