Tourism Council WA is the peak industry body representing tourism businesses, industries and regions in WA.
As the voice of the Western Australian tourism industry, TCWA proudly represents members and promotes the value of tourism to the state economy, environment and the social fabric of communities. TCWA develops evidence-based policies on issues including business regulation, aviation and transport, and parks and environment.
TCWA also runs industry development programs to assist members to enhance their sustainability and profitability. The Australian Tourism Accreditation Program is a national business development program based on quality assurance principles. Accreditation is a vital industry asset designed to continually improve standards, product quality and the reputations of tourism destinations. TCWA delivers accreditation to more than 900 tourism businesses across the State.
The Western Australian Tourism Awards, run by TCWA, are the most prestigious awards in the industry and attract fierce competition, strong media coverage and widespread consumer recognition. Each year, more than 800 guests gather to celebrate the industry's achievements at the awards gala dinner.
