Christmas in the City Festival and Carols (expired event)

Although Christmas in the City might look a little different this year, it will still be filled with festive cheer to celebrate the start of the Christmas period!

Christmas in the City will be held as a daytime event and will be spread throughout the CBD in several locations. 

Head in to the City where you can watch a Christmas movie, or decorate your very own paper umbrella. If that's not your scene, then sign up for a game of laser tag or one of the workshops. 

If you're looking for a bite to eat, stop by one of the locally owned food trucks or visit one of the many cafes and restaurants throughout the CBD. Locally owned market stalls will be displaying and selling their wares at Market Square in Marlston Hill (find them between mash Brewery and Corners on the Bay). 

From 4pm, make your way to the Graham Bricknell Music Shell for The Apprentice and Traineeship Company Carols Concert with local performers hitting the stage with a mix of classic and modern Christmas songs and carols. 

This year, the Street Parade will be held the week before on Sunday 6 December at 5.30pm.  We encourage everyone who wishes to watch the floats as they drive by to spread along the 1.5 kilometre route, as you will see the exact same floats wherever you choose to stand or sit.
