Amanda's Garden Fete (expired event)

A Treat for Garden Lovers! Set amongst a tranquil natural setting of paper barks the highlight of the garden is the mass display of Amanda Roses.

On 24-25 October 2020 Amanda’s Memorial Garden at the junction of Margaret & Matison Streets in Southern River will open for the annual fete.

A wonderful collection of David Austen’s, tea roses, climbers adorning the numerous arches and traditional scented roses provide a colourful display.

Water features with a Monet bridge and fountains’, louisiana iris and a very large variety of plants, trees and shrubs makes a visit a pleasant experience.

Added attractions will be an art display, a huge plant sale, cake, jam and fresh honey sales, and a Paddy’s Market.

A number of craft stalls will add interest to the occasion.

Devonshire teas and a sausage sizzle will also be available.

Entry is Adults $5, children free.

The Amanda Young Foundation was inaugurated in 1998 following 18 year old Amanda’s sudden death from meningococcal septicaemia.
