Following a string of successful 2019 releases, Byron Bay indie-rockers Seaside are at it again with blistering new single ‘Joyride’.

Mixed by Konstantin Kersting (The Belligerents, The Jungle Giants, WAAX) and mastered by George Geogiadis (Last Dinosaurs, Charlie Collins, Gang Of Youths), ‘Joyride’ adds a faster, post-punk tinge to the bands already broad sonic palette. Recorded at Rocking Horse studios in the beautiful Byron Bay hinterland with engineer Paul Pilseniks (Powderfinger, The Living End, Angus & Julia Stone), the song is written about "anyone who puts you down", explains frontwoman Darcy Dexter, "and the strength it takes to leave a toxic situation".

The single comes following a busy live schedule which has seen them touring nationally with the likes of Last Dinosaurs and Angus & Julia Stone as well as a slew of festival appearances at Splendour in the Grass, Party in the Paddock, Grampians Music Festival and 2019’s BIGSOUND.

‘Joyride’ is the first single off Seaside's highly anticipated forthcoming debut album, slated for release early 2020. Catch an early preview on their national tour. Limited tickets available now.
