CHORUS. All cultures. All women. All dance united. An invitation to women* from First Nations and culturally diverse communities across Perth to celebrate the strength and power of our sisters, daughters, friends and mothers. Chorus is a community dance project led by choreographer Annette Carmichael in collaboration with Community Arts Network that unites women against violence. Based on your input, movements will be created to suit your culture, your body and your ability. The project culminates in a dance performance by more than 100 women from across Perth and the Great Southern. Taster workshops will be running on 12 & 13th of October at Herb Graham in Mirrabooka. These workshops are completely obligation free and are just an opportunity to meet the team, ask questions, experience dance and learn more about the project. Register now: https://www.can.org.au/community/chorus/chorus-2022 - We recommend attending both workshops - No dance experience necessary - All women aged 14 years and above can participate - Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable, stretchy clothes *The term ‘women’ is used inclusively, and refers to women and non-binary people.
