Cindy Nasato's 'Chasing Waterfalls 2021' Exhibition

Cindy was born in Perth, so after retiring from work in Sydney and Canberra she made the decision to return to WA and live in Margaret River. She has always pursued the art world in various forms, so deciding to become a full-time artist was a natural progression. "I create my art using alcohol inks, and my inspiration is all around me in the natural beauty of Margaret River, which I now call home. When a beautiful place captures my attention, I analyse it, and later when painting, I use my visual memory to guide me to paint intuitively. Therefore the artworks are not literal depictions but are inspired interpretations". Cindy describes her art as abstract expressionism; there is a form and subject amongst the abstract backgrounds. Working with inks is very expressive, and Cindy`s experience and technique have evolved into unique and beautiful artworks.
