The 2021 tour promises three hours of captivating footage, shot in some of the most wild and remote corners of the world. Sure to set your pulse racing, this carefully curated program showcases a selection of films packed full of mesmerising cinematography, thought-provoking storylines and adrenaline-inducing action sequences. Audiences will experience incredible highs and agonising lows through the lenses of some of the most accomplished climbers, paddlers, skiers, snowboarders, mountaineers, mountain bikers, explorers and adventure filmmakers alive today. Showcasing a carefully curated selection of the best films from Canada’s famous nine-day international festival, the event will travel to 30 Australian towns and cities, inspiring audiences in 60 packed screenings. From approximately 400 films entered into the annual festival, award-winning films and audience favourites are among the films chosen to travel the globe. Run the rugged trails in Tajikistan, explore the death zone on Mount Everest, climb the sheer cliff faces of Spain, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour stories are chosen to celebrate more than outdoor exploration.
