Kate Pass Kohesia Ensemble + No Nomad (expired event)

Events Nov 22

Fremantle Arts Centre, 1 Finnerty Street, Fremantle, WA 6160
9432 9555

Description

Kohesia Ensemble explores unusual time structures and microtonal melodies, combining the sounds of Persian flute (ney), percussion (daf), lute (saz) and oud with jazz instruments.

Led by double bassist Kate Pass, the Kohesia Ensemble is a platform for Kate’s original compositions, influenced by her passion for both jazz and Persian music.

Since forming in Perth in 2018, No Nomad have crafted a mellow and inviting blend of soul, jazz, and alternative influences into a dynamic six-piece sound of their own.

Sunday Music is FAC’s free weekly live music program. Enjoy a carefully curated line-up of WA’s best musicians every weekend in the beautiful setting of FAC’s grounds. Due to COVID19 event restrictions, Sunday Music will run a little differently at the moment to keep our visitors, musicians and staff safe. The concerts will take place under the pine trees on our larger South Lawn to allow the audience to spread out. We will be operating with a strict crowd capacity, so head down early and settle in for the afternoon. Bring a rug and picnic (no BYO alcohol) to this family friendly event, or enjoy tasty treats from the food vendors and bar on-site. Some chairs provided.
