For this piece with WAAPA, students will explore moments of crises, transitions, transformations, and this is related to the fate of the building, the young students who attended the school, and the students making the performance. Tan will approach the site as a palimpsest [aboriginal land, graveyard, school, traffic police branch etc], and draw from a variety of historical and literary sources, archival material and students' personal lives to devise the piece.
