Incy-Wincy is the embodiment of a story of self- transcendence. Like in the nursery rhyme, a challenge is presented over and over again yet there is a never-ending drive to keep going

Incy-Wincy Spider gets washed out, the sun comes out and the climb up the water spout starts again. Conflict is inevitable in life, and while sometimes it may be impossible to dissolve externally, it is vital to transcend it through inner strength and resilience. It is not about the fight against it but choosing a direction within it and finding ease, to keep going in the face of adversity. Internal evolution is readily available when limits are challenged and we reach beyond our comfort zone, much like a child learning to walk, succeeding by standing up after falling over constantly. Choreographed by Montserrat Heras and performed with live original music by Jesse Vivante. Presented by: Montserrat Heras What is most essential in my practice is truth, evolution, curiosity, determination, connection and artistry. I believe that artistic development is an infinite journey, in which we are constantly seeking out new tools to fulfil self-actualisation and illuminate new perceptions. For these reasons I have pursued professional development as a contemporary dancer at Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company MASA Program in Israel, Broadway Dance Center Professional Semester in NYC and other programs in Melbourne and around the world. As an emerging young Australian dance artist with also Spanish and Mexican nationalities I aim to create a multifaceted experience for the audience expressing the universality of the human experience.
