Dean Kitchens North Coogee

Residential Designs

Description

Dean Kitchens owners, John and Marjory, had bought their new beautiful home on the coast and wanted to put their personal stamp on the interior.

The duo worked on the design closely with Dean Kitchens designer Jason Levin to create the ultimate kitchen space.
As both owners are serious entertainers, the brief was twofold; to create a modern and contemporary gourmet kitchen and to complement it with a bar area.

The existing kitchen was removed to make way for the new chef-inspired design, and a wall recess was the perfect hub to create the awesome new T-shaped bar.

The couple both love cooking and had enormous appliance and storage requirements.

The design process took shape from positioning the two oven towers up at one end. With the remaining space, the design team determined an asymmetrical layout was the way to go.

The island, complete with sink, dishwasher, pull-out bin, drawers and raised granite servery bench, was positioned directly behind.

Space was intentionally left above the wall cabinetry to make way for the backlit black glass splashback that gives this kitchen its awesome horizontal aesthetic.

An immense amount of white Essastone was used to soften the luxurious black colour scheme and to give the design its European architectural styling.

With its 150mm-thick granite bench and feature end panel, the bar seats up to four people comfortably and includes a wine fridge, zip tap, stone-clad bottle storage cabinet and feature glass.
