This family home was being renovated throughout in a style best described as ‘slightly French provincial, without being too fussy’. The owners’ brief was to do the same with the kitchen.
The original “U” shape did not suit the owners, as it didn’t allow for easy access to the outside entertaining area. Kitchen Capital WA installed an island bench to create a comfortable passage to the exterior doors.
An appliance cabinet was placed next to the fridge so family members could make a snack without getting in the way of the chef, while extra storage was created through the installation of slide-out shelves and lots of drawers.
A feature canopy over the rangehood and a butler sink contributed to the traditional style.
