This award-winning Burns Beach kitchen is both elegant and minimalistic. It completely represents, and is suited to, the young family who live here.
This Burns Beach kitchen, won the 2012 HIA Award for Best New Kitchen up to $25,000. It was also a finalist in the New Kitchen of the Year category.
The kitchen was designed to capitalise its prime entertaining location within the home. With easy access to the alfresco dining and swimming pool, it is also adjacent to the formal dining area.
The central island was incorporated into the kitchen design with a large over-hanging space for the family’s casual dining requirements.
Each cabinet used to create this island feature is accessible via a hidden cabinet, housed behind a false back panel.
Maximum storage throughout the kitchen was achieved by the use of Blum Tandembox drawers to base cabinets, inner drawers to both pantries, and extra deep bulkhead cabinets.
A two-toned neutral colour scheme was used in order to blend in with the home’s timber flooring.
