The owner of this Cottesloe home required a landscape that reflected the clean crisp lines of its solar passive architecture whilst retaining the sense of its beachside location.

Acting as an extension of the main living areas, the design allowed for a seamless cohesion of internal and external spaces that were conducive to our West Australian lifestyle.
The spaces created were to include a generous extension of the living area for entertaining and passive seating, a central outlook through the large north facing windows and a courtyard for private relaxation. A practical approach across the main courtyard allows the reflection pond to complement the warmth of the internal finishes, whilst granite steppers floating between the two flanking landings permit access through the space.
The planting palette was to be low maintenance, provide privacy and reinforce the beach house theme.
