Look no further than the Newport Hotel’s Tiki Beat Bar in Fremantle. The Tiki Beat Bar is a sophisticated small bar, adorned in historical tiki carvings and matching decor.
It is perfect for offering a relaxed atmosphere for casual or after-work drinks, and is the latest addition to Fremantle’s bustling cappuccino strip.
The design of the establishment was a collaboration with input from renowned tiki carver, Marcus Thorn. The bar pays homage to 1960s vintage surf culture and enchanting Polynesian paradises through nautical-themed vintage artwork and Rockabilly surf tunes.
Just over a year old, it is Perth’s only portside tiki bar, serving more than 20 different types of lush cocktails, as well as three of its very own speciality cocktails, made with Newport Spiced Rum. Drinks are served in ornamental ceramic mugs, adding to the bar’s overall ambience.
There are two entrance points to the bar, one off the street and one through a small hallway inside the Newport Hotel.
The Tiki Beat Bar has many private lounge suites, adding to the comfortability and laid-back atmosphere.
Behind the bar you’ll find a selection of the best international spirits including over 50 rums from all over the world, sitting atop two brightly lit fish tanks filled with tropical fish.
The establishment has already attracted big names like world-renowned pin-up model Masuimi Max, who used the bar as the backdrop for a photo shoot by Morat Photography.
