As its name suggests, The Stables Bar was in fact a horse stables in its past life – one of the very first in Perth.
In 1894, local businessman Jonathon Butterworth purchased the site and began construction of the landmark residence, and in 1898 added a farm and hardware store.
In 2012, the building transformed into The Stables Bar, two levels of bar and dining experiences in a rustic, sophisticated setting.

Numbers | The venue’s flexible function offerings can cater for 20 to 500 standing, or a formal seated lunch and dinner for up to 100 guests in the dining room. The venue is also available to book exclusively on Sundays for weddings, or corporate or private events.
Food | Head chef Ben Keal sources organic and free-range produce where possible, creating honest, hearty food designed to be shared. The venue offers a seasonal a la carte lunch and dinner menu, all-day grazing menu, chef table-shared feast menu, two- or three-course set menus for large groups, and a wide variety of canapes for cocktail events. The venue can also offer pop-up food stations for functions and weddings, which includes oyster shucking,
