The Perth Mint is one of WA’s most historical buildings, offering a combination of activities, exhibitions and demonstrations within its elegant grounds.

Established in 1899 as a branch of Britain's Royal Mint, The Perth Mint was built in response to the discovery of rich gold deposits in the state, and has since become one of Perth's finest tourist destinations. The building is Australia's only remaining 'gold rush' mint and a reminder of Western Australia's rich beginnings.

The Perth Mint offers a range of function spaces, each with its own unique ambience to create a special experience.

The Foyer and Shop is housed in the grand heritage building, and offers colonial features and contemporary furnishings. The area comprises five open rooms that flow through the ground level of the building, showcasing WA's natural treasures and a selection of giftware which is available for purchase during functions.

Thousands of dollars worth of gold still lies embedded in the brick walls of the Melting House, the Mint's original refinery. Witness a traditional gold-pouring performance or host a theatre-style presentation in this historic space.

Paved with limestone and featuring a tranquil fountain, the Courtyard Garden and Veranda is surrounded by turn-of-the-century buildings and is ideal for a cocktail function.

The Forecourt and Front Garden outdoor space provides an uninterrupted view of The Perth Mint's majestic heritage building with the lush lawns able to accommodate a range of marquee options to suit any occasion.
