The Perth Town Hall is an elegant and historical multi-purpose venue available for hire in the heart of Perth’s CBD.

Perth Town Hall is a West Australian architectural icon. Thanks to an
award-winning restoration, this Victorian Gothic jewel continues to lend elegance to public and private events well into its second century.

The venue was modelled on medieval European town halls, with the ground floor conceived as a covered outdoor market, and the first floor as a grand public meeting space.

At first approach, the Town Hall wears its whimsical charm lightly, with pointed arches, guard towers, tourelles, majestic spires and gables, recalling the romance of an earlier age.

Within the walls, hand-stencilled friezes, Italianate arches, and a sweeping staircase or two exude an austere majesty. Stained glass windows encircle the main hall, with its unadorned polished jarrah floors, while lancet windows and 15m ceilings suggest a cathedral-like ambience.

Above, three Gothic arches and a mezzanine Juliet balcony can form a second, surprise performance space. Below, a glass and chrome treatment around restored arcading and black granite floors make the lower foyer a stylish, smaller second space for cocktails and exhibitions.

Modern features such as air-conditioning, a lift and a renovated kitchen were installed to complement the hall's heritage values.
Produce your show with the fully equipped stage, new sound system, theatre lighting and grand piano. Or bring in caterers, AV, theming and other service providers of your choice and transform the venue for an elegant afternoon tea, glamour fashion show, art exhibition, or even a Rocky Horror-themed party.

Managed flexibly as a community facility, the hall is available to event organisers, for whom catering and AV packages can be arranged, while not-for-profit organisations enjoy a hire discount and can control costs by performing some services themselves. At least one staff member is always on duty to help with building systems and equipment.
