In addition to Perth Cultural Centre venues, the MRA is now booking event spaces at the iconic Elizabeth Quay precinct.

Over the next three years, Perth event organisers will have the choice of exciting new venues at some of the most picturesque spots in Perth. Following in the wake of the highly successful Perth Cultural Centre, the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) will be opening up Elizabeth Quay (summer of 2015/16) and Yagan Square (2017). These two new precincts will adopt the WA State Government's redevelopment authority's ethos of putting people first in its design, management and eventing decisions.

The MRA currently manages the Perth Cultural Centre, positioned between Perth's central city and vibrant inner-city district. This unique outdoor venue has many different function spaces. It's an attractive destination for a range of major events throughout the year, including Fringe World, Awesome Festival, State of the Art, markets and corporate functions.

In 2016, the MRA will also have a new and exciting venue to offer to commercial and community event holders. Elizabeth Quay will incorporate commercial, residential, retail and cultural attractions set around a 2.7 hectare inlet, connected by promenades and boardwalks. The development links the river to the Perth CBD and provides a destination that will host a range of activities and events to attract people of all ages.

Event venues to hire include The Landing – the primary public event space, Station Park – including a significant interactive water feature, the Eastern and Western Promenades, Barrack Street Jetty, and several of the surrounding development sites that will be future commercial buildings but in the shorter term will be available as 'clean' event sites.

In 2017, Yagan Square will be complete, part of the MRA's Perth City Link project (linking Northbridge to the Perth CBD). This space will provide future event opportunities in the central Perth precinct.
