Germans love to celebrate, and in keeping with this tradition, Elmar’s in the Valley is a year-round hub for entertainment, mammoth-sized meals and freshly brewed beer.
The family-friendly venue is best characterised by its two-acre beer garden and German restaurant, popular spots for birthdays, staff Christmas functions, engagement parties, team-building days, bucks’ parties, outdoor concerts, weddings and more.
The cheerful team understands that every function is unique, so there is a dedicated and highly specialised events and marketing manager on hand to coordinate all aspects of your function, whether in a private or non-exclusive setting.
For out-of-the-box events, there is plenty of room on the lawn for fun additions such as bouncy castles, an outdoor cinema, mechanical bucking bulls, marquees and team games.
The award-winning venue was opened in 2005 following the success of owners Elmar and Anette Dieren’s two smallgoods businesses in Highgate and Myaree. The duo migrated to Australia from Germany, bringing with them German machinery, knowledge, experience and a passion for fine food and smallgoods production.
All of Elmar’s beers are created at their on-site glass microbrewery, using only the freshest malts, yeasts and hops, all imported direct from Germany. The beers on tap at Elmar’s include no artificial colours or flavours, and are free from preservatives and chemicals.
Both sit-down and standing catering options are available, and Elmar’s offers assistance making arrangements with vendors and entertainment specialists. You can also host your very own event in the VIP tent at their Oktoberfest venue over two weekends in October. Prost!
Where | Located just 40 minutes from the Perth CBD in the picturesque Swan Valley.
Numbers | The venue has capacity for more than 2000 guests at its two-acre, fully licensed beer garden, complete with its own bar, undercover alfresco dining space, and 32 amp power. The restaurant has capacity for 120 seated or 250 cocktail-style. The indoor raised bar has capacity for 50 guests standing.
Food | Experience delicious gourmet bratwurst, signature German dishes such as the Schweinshaxe, Pork Schnitzel and Spätzle, as well as Australian classics. Most dishes on the menu cater towards gluten-free options.
