In leafy Swanbourne, the new Church of the Resurrection and Pelican Function Centre offers a unique combination of two complementary, adjoining event venues – an inspiring, contemporary performance space, and a modern and neutral area ready to be dressed to suit client requirements.
Both new, award-winning buildings that challenge traditional perceptions of what a church can be, the church itself is light-filled and inviting, combining a traditional ecclesiastical look with clean, contemporary interiors, while the Pelican Function Centre provides a classic yet modern, neutral space that can be dressed to suit a range of events.
Built in 2011, both spaces are air-conditioned and heated for comfort all year-round.
With versatility for a wide range of functions, events include wedding receptions, cocktail evenings, corporate functions, art exhibitions, musical and performing arts concerts, education and training events.
With its soaring spaces, wonderful acoustics, and new grand piano, the church has become a centre for musical excellence and a draw for Perth’s musical scene with a steady flow of concerts and recitals.
The church can also offer its own four- voice choir, available for hire as a group or as solo performers, to add a spectacular touch to your event.
The church seeks to become a centre of excellence for hospitality, the arts, and education.
