Getting bored of all your solo binge-watching sessions? Forgetting what it feels like to have friends? We have some good news for you – there’s a new chrome extension that lets you watch Netflix with your friends, without being anywhere near their unwashed hands. Best of both worlds!

Netflix Party is a new way to watch Netflix with your friends online. The extension synchs up your video playback with theirs so that you can stream simultaneously from your separate devices. It also has a group chat feature, so you can continue to make annoying interjections throughout the movie just as you would in real life.

Over 1,000,000 people around the world are now using it to link up with friends and host long distance movie nights and TV marathon parties.

Here are some quick steps to get your Netflix Party started:

  1. To install, search http://www.netflixparty.com/ and click the “Install Netflix Party” button on the home page. Once you’re redirected to the Chrome Web store, click “Add to Chrome”.
  2. Once it’s installed, you’re all set to start using Netflix Party! Just decide on a show or movie and create your virtual watching party. You can create a party by clicking on the red “NP” icon next to the address bar.
  3. Then, click “Start Party” to send the URL invitation your friends and settle down for a night of virtual socializing.
