After attracting a record-breaking crowd of 10,000 last year, the annual LiveLighter Canning Show will be returning from November 6 - 7 in 2020, transforming the Cannington Centre & Showground into a giant playground. Shaping up to be one of the biggest community events of the year, there will be tonnes of family-friendly activities, delicious food options, live entertainment and even a firework display on both nights.

This year's program is packed with hundreds of free things to do, including laser tag, pony unicorn rides, face-painting, mini golf, freestyle motorbike ramp shows, mini gold, wood chopping competitions, rides, cute animals, award-winning bands, exhibitions and more.

Head over to Sideshow Wonderland, where you will find awesome carnival rides and entertainment suitable for all ages. There will also be a selection of six showbag trucks offering show goodies for those of you who missed out with the cancellation of the Perth Royal Show earlier this year.

Over at the Main Stage, expect a massive program of live entertainment starting from 5.30pm on Friday Nov 6, and running all day from 9.50am on Saturday Nov 7. Both evenings will end with an incredible firework display at 9pm, so be sure to stick around to see the skies light up.

If you get peckish, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from, with food stalls serving delicious dishes from cuisines from around the world – think Japanese Street Food, snacks from the Turkish Hot Plate, traditional Italian pizza, and all your favourite Thai dishes.

The kids will be pleased to know that Farmland will be open until late, with a Lego train display, Old Macdonald’s Petting Farm, and Ladybird face painting. There’ll even be animals, rides and a roving sheep show.

Budding craftspeople, artists and creatives are also invited to take part in the Canning Show’s largest annual exhibition. Open to everyone from talented amateurs to awarded artisans, the exhibition aims to celebrate and encourage people to try their hand at new hobbies and nurture their talents. There’ll be over $13,000 in cash prizes awarded, with all entries put on display during the show.

The Canning Show is run by the Canning Agricultural, Horticultural & Recreational Society, a not-for-profit, volunteer-led organisation which has been committed to enriching the community for over 110 years.

With agricultural shows, including the Perth Royal Show, across Australia cancelled this year due to COVID, the LiveLighter Canning Show will be one of the first major metropolitan shows in Australia to go ahead, bringing some much-needed fun to the families of Perth.

Early bird and first release tickets are already sold out. Get in quick to grab second release tickets here.
