CITY BEACH
Designed by Derek Thorogood and constructed by Veejay's Kitchen and Bathroom Renovations, this kitchen is modern and minimalistic, yet functional to suit today's lifestyle.
The brief from the owners was to create a more useable space, opening up the area to create more than one access in and out of the kitchen. To achieve this, an L-shaped design with a centre island was selected.
Construction on the renovation began, removing a wall and replacing it with a support column, because different ceiling heights meant that a beam was not an option.
For cabinetry, Blum soft-closing systems were used throughout, and adjustable inner-drawer systems were also added to create easy access to deep storage space. Long banks of soft-closing drawers were included to create a modern look with clean lines. All cabinetry is finished with an Ultra Glaze Gloss in Arctic Ice, a glass-edged profile providing a dramatic contrast with the Raven Caesarstone benchtop with waterfall ends.
The clients entertain regularly so quality European, stainless steel appliances were essential, including a steam oven.
The end result is simply amazing, transforming the whole space into a modern open-plan area, incorporating both dining and lounge zones.
It's a renovation the owners are very proud of.
