Colray Cabinets has been operating under the current management team for over ten years, creating cabinetry that demonstrates the dual beauty of form and simplicity.

Colray Cabinets designs and manufactures high-end, quality cabinets on site at its Landsdale factory. The company believes the kitchen is the centrepiece of every modern family home, and as such prides itself on creating exquisite showpieces that are functional yet strikingly beautiful.

As testament to this, Colray Cabinets has been the recipient of numerous HIA awards, including New Kitchen Project up to $25,000 at last year's awards, and was also a finalist in New Kitchen Project of the Year, New Kitchen Project up to $25,000, Renovated Kitchen Project up to $30,000, and Best Bathroom in a Display Home $500,001 and over.

The company's small team of tradesmen is dedicated to achieving perfection with every project, providing superior customer service every step of the way.

In addition to kitchens, Colray Cabinets creates beautiful bathrooms, laundries, alfresco kitchens and bespoke units, whether they are in a newly built home or part of a custom renovation.

CLARKSON

The owners of this Clarkson home worked with Colray Cabinets' Scott Batters to design a kitchen that would capitalise on their striking views of the Indian Ocean. This was the key element for placing the kitchen preparation area in an outward-facing position.

Since the entire living area is not particularly spacious and could not accommodate a dining table, the homeowners wanted all workspaces
to blend with the entertaining areas. This called for all the kitchen appliances to be located at the rear of the kitchen, and a dining table to be built in to the island bench.

The neutral colour palette calmly contrasts with the home's floorboards, further enhanced by the built-in Corian dining table in Natural Grey. As if to 'frame' the entire wall of cabinetry and kitchen appliances, a feature contrasting bulkhead in Black Wenge surrounds the rear workstation.

Combining these simple yet effective design techniques has created a modern and inviting upper-level kitchen that reflects the laid-back and relaxed lifestyle of the home's young family.

FREMANTLE

The homeowners worked with Scott Muir from Colray Cabinets to fashion a kitchen that was light and airy, and that balanced the more industrial-style brickwork and polished concrete flooring. This called for a modern design and contemporary use of clean white lines and natural materials, which also blend seamlessly into the existing surroundings of the recently renovated home.

As the focus, the solid American Oak island benchtop with a lime wash effect is understated yet extremely effective in softening the harsh surrounding materials. Along the wall where the 'working' part of the kitchen is located, the HanStone benchtop and satin finish cabinetry in Dulux Whisper White offers a contemporary, sleek finish to the area.

Contrasting cabinetry has been built into the island, as have feature boxes above the fridge and study nook, and a benchseat, all in solid American Oak with a lime wash effect.

The completed kitchen is sleek and spacious, boasting the bold use of natural surfaces and textures. It is an entertainer's delight, capitalising on the homeowner's recent house extension, which flows gracefully out to the backyard.
