Perth’s own Midnite Youth Theatre Company is bringing the hit musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat to the stage.
From 3 to 5 August, Midnite Youth Theatre Company will bring their incredible production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s hit musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat to the Perth stage.

The company will perform the hit show at the Heath Ledger Theatre at the State Theatre Centre of WA. The musical retells the Biblical story of Joseph, his 11 brothers and his coat of many colours through catchy songs, dramatic narration and energetic performances from the young cast.

This year also marks the 30th year of The Midnite Youth Theatre Company, an organisation renowned across Perth for staging quality theatrical productions. This year’s production of Joseph promises to be just as entertaining.

Directed by Midnite’s Artistic Director, Gregory Jones, the cast includes students from Christ Church Grammar School, Methodist Ladies College, Presbyterian Ladies College and St Hilda’s’ College. Timothy Claxton will take the title role, while Grace Fermanis plays The Narrator. The set has been designed by WAAPA graduate Sarah Duyvestyn.

“This colourful production celebrates 30 years of outstanding performances by The Midnite Youth Theatre Company,’ said Gregory. ‘This musical classic provides an excellent vehicle for our young performers to showcase their talent in a fun and spectacular way.’

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat is at the Heath Ledger Theatre, State Theatre Centre of WA on August 3, 4 and 5. Saturday 5 will also include a matinee performance.
