Led by a husband-and-wife team, ULTIMO's owners Enzo and Genny Sberna started the retail business in 1997, with a 400sqm showroom in Osborne Park, where they custom-built and designed quality sofas, and stocked locally manufactured goods.

After several years of trading, Genny and Enzo felt Perth really lacked original pieces, good design and quality furniture, and came to the realisation that they couldn't rely solely on local importers.
So, in 2004, the pair made a conscious decision to take ULTIMO in a new direction, to bring European luxury to WA.

Genny and Enzo attended the Milan furniture fair for what would be their first time in 2004, and in 2005 relocated to a 1000sqm showroom where they are still located today. In 2013, the rebirth of ULTIMO was launched with a new facade, new logo, and a reinvention of every corner of the showroom, with a further 800sqm expansion. With a new philosophy and a new direction, ULTIMO accomplished its goal of becoming the only Perth showroom designing whole, turnkey home solutions with authentic European design, manufacturing and quality.
