From October 9-11, the Swan Valley will celebrate the fruits of their womb with over 25 foodie, wine, beer and spirit events. Whether you’re a fan of bottomless brunches, tastings or brewing masterclasses, Entwined in the Valley has your bases covered.
The weekend kicks off on Friday evening with the first ever Swan Valley Winemakers Association Quiz Night. A night made for wine connoisseurs, expect tastings of Swan Valley Wine Show award-winning wines, wine-themed games and of course, a test of your wine knowledge.
Other event highlights include a five-course charity dinner prepared celebrity chef Kepler Weber paired with award-winning wines at the historic Guildford Hotel, as well as a speakeasy-themed gin masterclass where you’ll don your best flapper costume and mix your own bottle of gin.
Although both of these are ticketed, adults-only events, there is an array of free and family-friendly events too, such as the Swan Valley Sisters Market Day. Offering horse and cart tours and a treasure hunt as well as a range of local stalls amongst the vine rows, there’s something for both the kids and parents. Or, for the sweet-tooths, Mondo Nougat is hosting a hands-on, nougat-making masterclass, where you’ll have the chance to create a brand new, personalised nougat flavour.
The weekender closes with a Sunday Sundowner in the massive Mash Brewing beer garden, featuring a DJ, award-winning craft beers and a curated menu of the kitchen’s favourites. With the sun finally coming out to play, there’s never been a better time to get out to WA’s oldest wine region and taste something new.
