This November, the Perth foreshore will be decorated with vibrant colours, rhythms and flavours for the Act-Belong-Commit Swan Festival of Lights. Inviting the community of Perth to 'Celebrate Deepavali Together', this free-entry 3-day festival will be held at the Supreme Court Gardens from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th November.

Inviting the community of Perth to 'Celebrate Deepavali Together', this free-entry 3-day festival will be held at the Supreme Court Gardens from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th November. 

Events

Guests will be treated to an array of dance performances from classical to Bollywood as well as music, painting, rhythms and mouth-watering vegetarian cuisine. Each evening will conclude with a roaring fireworks display.

About the festival

Since its inception in 2008, the Swan Festival of Lights has attracted 35,000 patrons to celebrate the vivacious and enriching Indian festival of Deepavali.

A joyous occasion celebrated by over one billion people across the world, Deepavali honours the Inner light, hope, peace, harmony and truth that resides in all of us.

This universal theme of light triumphing darkness serves as the foundation of the festival and inspires a unifying experience for enthusiasts and casual observers alike.

The festival is proudly supported by the Annalakshmi Cultural Centre of WA and the Saraswati Mahavidhyalaya Centre for Education and Performing Arts, both not-for-profit institutions guided by the principles of 'serve, Love, Give".
