Ground floor: Live performances by STELLAR BEAMS, Ambient Zone DJs and more acts TBA Upstairs: Signals Sound Laboratory - interactive audiovisual laboratory for technologists, musicians, and art lovers of all species Bar and Food available Stellar Beams is a collective of ambient explorers, experimenting with audiovisual astronomy and underwater submergence. Tune into the cosmic frequencies and ride the waveforms. Signals Sound Laboratory showcases a vast array of music synthesisers, broadcast technology, and computing and laboratory test equipment, all interconnected in unique and interesting ways. The Artists' Foundation of WA is partially-funded by the Restart to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund, and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSCI), Culture and the Arts WA.

Hop Heads, Beer Lovers and Agriculture Enthusiasts Rejoice! Strange Company is bringing together a line-up of local Hop growers, and breweries in the inaugural WA Hop Harvest Festival to celebrate all things hoppy. Saturday May 28th will see Strange Company brimming with budding hop admirers wanting to hear the stories of how hops became a part of modern-day Western Australia Agriculture, the future of hops in WA and how they are being utilised by home brewers and commercial breweries alike. With a line-up of beers on tap all containing locally grown hops, as well as a panel discussion from around the state of play in the industry. Wet hop beers on tap from King Road Brewing, Nowhereman Brewing, Rocky Ridge, Innate Brewing and more... The panel, hosted by Strange Company, will consist of Aaron Davy (Preston Valley Hops), Trey Gee (Karridale Hop Farm), Pia Poynton (Nowhereman Brewing) and Ricky Watts (Rocky Ridge Brewing) and will run from 2pm - 4pm with the brewers and growers staying on for an informal post panel chat into the late afternoon. Live entertainment from 4pm, Food specials all day. This is a free event.

We’ll have Friday night footy on the big screen, free jars of Switchback IPL whenever we ring the bell, as well as a meat raffle and merch giveaways. Once the footy’s done we’ll have the house DJs keeping the good vibes going well into the night. The Switchback IPL is named after the old City Beach access road that all the Floreat and City Beach locals know. It’s a super-sessionable, pale lager with just enough of a punch to keep it interesting. We’d love to see you at the launch for a cuppla.

Kicking off with the launch of their collab brew, South Fremantle Brewing will shout you a beer to get the party rolling. You can then expect some sweet prices on South Fremantle beers all night long. There’ll be a local DJ spinning tunes and Pretty Good Pizza will be on hand to feed you. If you live around the corner, just rock up, the party is free. For those coming from Fremantle, there’ll be a bus for 50 people. Hosted by famed drag queen and performer Donna Kebab, Brewing’s a Drag kicks off with a drag lip sync competition – featuring industry representatives and members of the community – live, loud, and glamourous from the Otherside Brewhouse in Myaree. Once our Queen or King is crowned, Donna will moderate an industry panel on inclusivity: the good, the bad, and the obvious. And, of course, it’s a brewery! So, the night will be filled with great beer (+ specials), great food, and even better people. Tickets include 1x free pint of your choosing!
