1. Greenbunch Bunch Cafe
East Victoria Park
Greenbunch Bunch Cafe is an urban oasis situated in the heart of Victoria Park. The cafe is full of quirky homewares and an abundance of plants and gorgeous floral arrangements. Everything in the cafe is fresh, from the foliage to the home-made food. Sit indoors within the jungle-like interior, or on warmer days you can step outside into the courtyard. You can even bring your dogs along to soak up the sun and fresh air too! Open Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 3pm, and weekends 7am to 3pm.
2. Bar Botanik
West Perth
Although missing an outdoor garden, Bar Botanik more than makes up for it with its indoor décor of hanging plants, lush potted foliage and plant-centric homewares. Situated within a historic building on Fitzgerald St, Bar Botanik is an inner-city plant haven. The owners are rare plant collectors and feature a display of their collection in the shop for visitors. They even make a point of sourcing rare plants for sale whenever possible, so fellow collectors should keep their eyes peeled for rare gems while stopping in for a coffee. Located a stone’s throw away from Hyde Park, finding dogs and other pets in the shop is a common occurrence and they openly welcome owners and their furry friends in the store. Open everyday, from 10am to 4pm.
3. Stomp Coffee
North Perth
Stomp Coffee is the perfect café to visit if you’re after a peaceful day resting beneath the leafy canopy of a courtyard garden. They are real lovers of coffee, and only purchase speciality grade, ethically sourced beans. Apart from the relaxed ambience of the garden, Stomp offers visitors a real sense of community from their welcoming stance on pets (sp bring along the dog!) through to the community events they hold in the garden such as ‘Sunday Jazz at Stomp’. They are open from 6.30am to 2pm Monday through Friday, and 7am to 2pm Saturday and Sunday.
4. Grow Garden & Cafe
Inglewood
Located in Inglewood, Grow Garden & Cafe displays an abundance of plants, flowers, and unique homewares. Within the greenery is a small cafe serving up hot coffee, mouth-watering toasties and sweet treats like cannoli. Sit and relax among the plants in the courtyard while you sip your coffee, and even bring along the dog: Grow Garden & Cafe welcomes furry friends too, with dog biscuits available for purchase in-store. Open from 7am to 2pm Monday to Wednesday, and 7am to 4pm Thursday to Sunday.
5. The Secret Garden Cafe
South Perth
We simply couldn't discuss Perth's top garden cafes without including the Secret Garden. Although a relatively small cafe inside, the beauty as the name suggests, is in the (not-so) secret garden out back; think cobble-stone, a tiny pond with a matching tiny wooden bridge and of course, greenery as far as the eye can see. The space is used primarily as a cafe, serving all-day breakfast might we add, but can also be hired out for weddings, birthdays and high teas. Open from 7.30am daily, closing up at 4.30pm during the week and 5pm on the weekends.
