Nothing beats cosying up in a dimly lit wooden booth with a pint of Guinness providing a nice blanket of warmth to tide us through those wet winter nights. With a large Irish population hailing back to the convict era, some of the traditional Irish pubs in Perth have established themselves a social hub for Perth’s Irish community and lovers of cosy, wood-panelled pubs alike.

There are also a host of modern pubs that have opened in recent years, such as Scarborough’s Galway Hooker, that take their inspiration from the Irish pubs of old. Here are some of the most popular Irish pubs in Perth, where you’ll find Guinness, hearty food and good craic. Sláinte!
