One of the world's great, long-distance walk trails stretching nearly 1000kms from the Perth Hills to Albany. Opened in 1998, the award-winning Bibbulmun Track takes walkers through towering karri and tingle forests, through mist-shrowded valleys, over granite boulders and along breathtaking coastal heathlands (via Kalamunda, Mundaring, Dwellingup, Collie, Donnelly River, Pemberton, Northcliffe, Denmark, Walpole, Torbay and Albany).
It is signposted with a stylised version of the waugal(rainbow serpent of the Aboriginal Dreamtime) and is suitable for people of all ages and experience. You can join the Bibbulmun Track for just a few hours, or for an epic end-to-end journey of up to 8 weeks! A wide variety of short walks, interpretive tours, extended trips, accommodation & walking packages and seminars plus a free information service and merchandise sales is offered by the lively 'Friends of the Bibbulmun Track', a non-profit organization which helps promote and care for the Track.
