Warm materials and relaxed, open spaces were adopted to encourage interaction between visitors and staff at this CBD office.

This high-profile, well-recognised company required a sophisticated workspace that captured the essence of the brand while encouraging creative interaction between staff and visitors. It was imperative that the office also incorporated key technology elements.

Interior designers MKDC devised a design that boasted an open-plan workspace, a small number of quiet rooms and flexible workspaces, spacious boardroom, staff hub and waiting area. Swan Group was then brought in to bring this design to life.

With no dedicated reception area, frameless glass doors lead visitors from the lift lobby into a generous waiting room and interconnected boardroom, offering a memorable first impression of ASX. This space is defined by a custom perforated-aluminium ceiling, its geometric form subtly referencing the daily fluctuations
of the stock market.

The carefully designed feature ceiling and the integration of key services allowed for the overall ceiling height to be lifted, increasing spaciousness and giving a more dramatic effect.

Throughout the office, subtle finishes such as the pivoting full-height timber-clad doors, custom-designed bench seating along perimeter windows, and flip-top boardroom materials emit elements of warmth and creativity.

A staff hub successfully segregates staff and visitor zones, without breaking the unified palette of quality materials such as timber and leather, creating an immersive and textural environment throughout.
