The Art Space Collective hosts regular life-drawing sessions that run for two hours and everyone is invited, regardless of experience. All you need to bring is your choice of material (paper, drawing book or whatever you fancy) and your favourite bottle of wine! The community art space located in Scarborough brings together a mix of artists and creatives and is a space for individuals to escape the chaos and find peace in art. Designed for all levels of experience, explore your creative side and leave at the end of the night with your own painting. The two-hour session consists of a guided painting with step-by-step instructions, during which time you’ll learn the basics of painting. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the basics of brush lettering down pat. Ivette Herzog, co-founder of The Control Freak, will be there to teach you everything you need to know in this three-hour class about a forgotten art that is slowly making a comeback. Ivette will teach you how to use the different lettering and calligraphy tools, basic strokes and you’ll get to take home your own stunning print. Don’t worry if your handwriting is not the prettiest, no experience is required to take part in this workshop.
