Whether it's a business stay, a gorgeous holiday or a sneaky staycation in the city, look no further than the Fraser Suites Perth for a luxurious getaway.

Have you ever felt like you desperately need a holiday, but it's not the right time for an exotic escape? Well, you're in luck. Staycations are growing in popularity (in 2015, 40% of Australians booked a spontaneous trip at home, according to lastminute.com.au). You get all the perks of being away, but it costs considerably less, plus there's no long commute!

One of Perth;s newest luxury hotels is Fraser Suites, a five-star hotel opened in May 2013, overlooking the Swan River in East Perth. It is located close to the CBD, the WACA, Langley Park, Crown Entertainment Complex and the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. This makes it a great base to explore the city, whether that be strolling or cycling along the river or checking out our burgeoning bar and restaurant scene nearby. We were lucky enough to spend a night there recently and, even though we were literally away from home for about 18 hours, it felt like a true mini holiday.

All types of travellers and staycationers are welcome at the Hotel, with multiple room options catering to different needs. The luxury apartments and studio rooms are designed for comfort and practicality. Each room comes fully equipped with open-plan living, workspaces, and with some having balconies overlooking the Swan.

The property is designed by award-winning interior design company RLD, priding itself on the hotel's sophisticated, stylish and eye-catching spaces, all with a practical, functional and luxurious feel.

Business travellers are well accommodated with configurable meeting rooms and meeting packages, with assigned co-ordinators for ultimate business engagement.

The conference rooms are also well suited for non-business events, such as weddings or seminars, and a large outdoor space would make the perfect location for function drinks or an outdoor barbecue. This high urban space is quite unique and definitely something to consider if you're looking for a different offering.

As you would expect from a five-star hotel, Fraser Suites offers a 24-hour gym, sauna and pool where you can truly relax and feel miles away from the every day.

The hotel is home to Heirloom, one of the newest up market venues on Perth's flourishing dining scene. Having read quite a bit about it, we were eager to see what all the Paleo fuss was about. After cocktails in the sumptuous lobby bar, we went in for dinner and were treated to one of the best meals we have enjoyed in some time. Executive Chef Pete Evans (MKR, all around celebrity chef) has put together a Paleo inspired menu that is both innovative and delicious. Not surprisingly, meat is king but vegetarian options are available. Serves are generous, flavours all balanced and the service ensures you will be wondering why you hadn't visited this little gem earlier. Popular with hotel guests and locals alike, for breakfast through to dinner, it was a highlight of our stay (check out the menu here).

Work off your meal the following morning by using one of the hotel's shared bikes and cycle around the city's beautiful bike trails, winding around the river and Elizabeth Quay. Or grab your towel and sweat it out in the well equipped gym, followed by a swim in the lap pool and a sauna. Choice is a wonderful thing.

Whether you're looking for somewhere different to stay on your next business visit, a central, more intimate option for your holiday to Perth or a quick, luxurious getaway in your own city, Fraser Suites ticks all the boxes.
